Sugar in Our Favorite Drinks

Ms. Jenka helped us learn to read labels and figure out how much sugar was really in our favorite drinks.  We carefully measured out the number of teaspoons in each drink and shared our findings with the class.  Some of us were surprised.  We also learned that sugar is at the very tip of the food pyramid and should be eaten occasionally.  Most of our food should come from the base which includes fresh fruits and veggies.  Ms. Jenka helped us try all sorts of nutritious snacks.  She also helped us analyze food from our favorite fast food restaurants.
